Labor Assistance Professionals (LAP)

Who We Are

The Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Chapter of Labor Assistance Professionals (LAP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of a regional group of dedicated men and women employed at various companies and trades in the Washington, D.C. area and beyond, who are affiliated with a recognized labor organization, and who provide peer assistance to their members through either a stand-alone member assistance program (MAP, UAP) or a joint union/company employee assistance program (EAP).

We are dedicated to obtaining comprehensive alcohol and drug treatment and mental health services for our members at a reasonable and fair price. In addition, we advocate for member assistance programs development within Labor, and for the recognition of the key role Labor plays in the treatment process and professional organizations.
